  • Berevement and Post Office Account Indemnifier

I need to close my mother's post Office account and I have the form. It asks for the name and address of an Indemnifier, apparently to indemnify the Post Office from any mistakes they may make.

Have I misunderstood this or is the indemnifier for something else?

I believe the Indemnifier is the Personal Representative, who has to sign the form.

You could always contact the Post Office for confirmation of this.
