  • Santander, Alliance & Leicester screw up.

My daughter being a bit sleepy after a week of nights managed to lose her handbag on her way home last week, she lost her keys, purse, cards and a few personal things. So she phoned around all concerned, cancelling her cards, getting new locks fitted and a new phone ordered. On contacting the bank she asked how best to get access to some money from her account and was told to go into her branch with two forms of i.d. she could withdraw funds. So off she went and asked for £200, yes they said, can you confirm your date of birth, yes she said and did. Two days later her twin brother calls up and says Dad you wont believe this, some ba****d has been and took £200 out of my account. The bank had given his money to his sister. After a bit of a laugh, we explained about his sister and now we need some advice as to how we should make a proper complaint and who we should make it to.

    Thanks,
    Liam.
