  • Robdblynd v Abbey (Round 2)

Ok, as promised Round 2 begun.

Got my statements etc and calculated charges. Sent Prelim Letter on 25th May.

Got usual "give us 4 weeks letter" dated 30th July.

Busy with Round 1 claim which they settled in full 7 days before Mercantile Case Management Hearing so let it over run.

Posted LBA on 12th July, delivered 13th July.

Today, get the usual "sorry you've complained, charges are right, we've not contravened any regulations, as GOGW here's 10%, now go away" letter.

Emailing them to say "I've sued once and you paid, I will again. Think about it, it's commerically viable (their buzz word of the moment) for you to pay me now. On Thursday (48hours) I'll file and that's another 8% and court fees you'll owe me. Think about it."

Anybody think they'll pay me now? .................. Nah, me neither. So N1 here I come.

    LOL Robd

I'm afraid I have to agree, perhaps a copy of your claim form and POC may have also helped.....but doubtful.

I filed against them last week after weeks of threats and letters, maybe now they will take some notice!?

    Loads of luck

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Don't hold your breath on that Celestine ..... Abbey are one of the worst for holding out ....... you'll get very little joy .,.. maybe 65% at defence stage and then silence until just before you get into court ...... then they'll try and get to you to settle for a lesser figure than you've claimed and as a final act ...... they'll settle in full.

Can't understand why they let it run so far .... they must've realised by now that we're getting wise to their tactics and are not scared of them.

Oh well, their loss cos every day after filing costs them more money ...... not very commercially palatable I would've said but then ......... hey, I'm no banker, just someone who sees the sense of paying out earlier to save some cash.
