Re: County court Judgment and bank charge reclaiming - help needed!!
Hi Ruby15 - co-incidence in name! I have just come across your threat. I'm about to make you feel a lot better - there are always people better off and worst off than you no matter what your status in life ......
I had been on a repayment plan with RBS (Natwest) for some time. In September 2008 (another co-incidence) I got a knock on my door from two rather large men giving me a court summons!!! It could not have been more out of the blue. I have never had such a horrible fright in my life. I had never defaulted on my repayment plan and no letter had been received - or calls made to tell me the account was being passed on. The same day these men came to my door - two hours earlier I had been told that my mom had between 3 - five weeks left to live (cancer) TOTALLY DEVASTATED. My mom unfortuntately has since passed away but I got my own back in a way. I did try the FOS ruite (RBS did not follow any due dilligence) however I found FOS as useful as a chocolate teapot - they took RBS side. Under the financial hardship banner (thanks to Martin Lewis's web-site)I got just under £5000 in the middle of the year and have had my debt cleared. I'm sure my mom had something to do with it, looking out for me from the other side.
It was £5000 worth of therapy watching the counter staff at my local branch count out the money in front of me!!
Lol xxxx
