  • have you had a settlement offer from lloyds recently?

    Hi
Has anyone had an offer from Lloyds recently in regards to a stayed claim

I ask due to a thread on here

    http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/showthread.php?t=9760

    It mentions that

"halifax, lloyds and abbey....seem to be getting offers sent out."

and I was wondering because I would like to see if I can contact them and see if I can get thing moving again on hardship rules

Doesn't hurt to ask IMO. Especially if you feel you fit the better hardship waiver guidelines.

      Hi Shooter,

The original Lloyds one that I saw was on MSE

      http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...466832&page=94

However on double checking it appears that this may have been a credit card claim.

However, have a look at some of the other posts on the same thread, there are numerous posts regarding Halifax and Abbey and I have seen some similar posts on other sites as well

I notice that you have asked a similar question on various other sites as well regarding lloyds. It will be interesting to see the responses that you get to your questions on those other sites.

You have already had a read of Ladidi's thread on LB and as Amethyst has already said, there is nothing to stop you doing a similar thing to that which Ladidi has just tried. Let's hope you do and that you have a similar, or better response.

I am actually going to try a similar move with my own "stayed" Halifax claim later today and once I get some news from Ladidi I plan to talk to a couple of other people about trying a similar approach ( one with Abbey and one with HSBC ). It would be great if you could have a go at Lloyds.

Lets see if we can create some movement.

      Regards Budgie

        Morning all,
I have been reading the thread about Ladidi and abbey with interest. I also have a claim stayed with abbey. Can't wait for some news!
Lets hope this helps get the campaign moving again.
        Fingers crossed

          Hey Molly, welcome to LB

We are all eagerly awaiting news from Ladidi.

However, if you feel that you are suffering financial hardship, there is nothing to stop you doing what Ladidi is attempting.

Dig out your Court paperwork, find a contact name and telephone number at Abbey.

Give them a ring, use the approach that Ladidi did and see if you can get them to make you an offer.

You don't need a template letter or a template email or a script to do this. In fact it's far better to do something in your own words. Just be yourself and give it a try.

You have nothing whatsoever to lose by trying this.

Let us know if you are going to give it a go and how you get on.

          Regards Budgie

Does anyone know of any other cases in particular as I'm trying to find out as much info as possible so that together we might be able to come up with a viable strategy to fight the banks and get some of these hardship cases one of which is myself.
If they are contacting enough people without being contacted by the claimants them we may be able to come up with a strategy.
