I paid about £700 in 2010 to become bankrupt. Since them I have had my salary paid into my wifes bank account. I can gain access online, telephone etc. to her account before I make any purchasing decisions, all is well, I am cured.... I have enjoyed a Barclays Bank cash account. I can draw cash from a cashpoint and that is about the extent of it. I booked an appointment with the local Bank Manager and asked if I could extent their service beyond an input and output system. I was hoping to be able to access the account online to check my balance etc. The answer I got was: You can't have an 'adult' bank account until six years after you bankruptcy, so go blow in the wind!
So my loyalty to Barclays is torn between gratitude and surprise. Actually I have no loyalty to Barclays, my question is does any one know of any banks out there not requiring a six year stay of execution?
Thank you in advance.
