Advice needed please.
My 23 year old son has various debts - HMRC and Court Fines.
He is not on the electoral roll at my house - not sure if this makes a difference when trying to prove he no longer lives here? But his car is registered here and letters from HMRC have been arriving asking for a large sum of money.
Bailiffs have been previously and I (stupidly, but to protect my property) have paid them. I am expecting them again soon as various letters have arrived. Am I able to stop them taking goods that belong to me? There is nothing here that belongs to my son but they have told me in the past that this is irrelevant to them - unless I have proof of purchase for the item then they can remove it.
Unfortunately I don't have proof of purchase for the 7 year old TV and my mums engagement ring..... so what do I do?
