' DLC debt collectorsHello. Due to miscalculations by HMRC and them not taking into account the changes in circumstances I kept them informed off, they claim I was overpaid @£900 tax credit. This was approx. 3/4 years ago, I had received a few letters from them at the time but I kept telling them I disputed that it was my fault. I heard nothing further but, now I have signed on for JSA, I have received a letter from dlc debt collectors demanding payment in full. I am worried sick. I have no job and no money and don't know what to do. Can someone advise if they will remove property from my house or take me to court? Thank you'

Further to my earlier posts, I'm now getting constant phone calls from this company, (didn't reply but googled the number) late evening and 8:20am, really don't know what to do. I'm stopping everyone answering the phone in case it's them. I've suffered badly with mental health issues in the past and feel it rearing it's ugly head again

I have been chased for an alleged overpayment of tax credits since Sept 2012. I've contacted HMRC asking for a breakdown of their figures and said I'm willing to pay as long as they can show how they arrived at the figure quoted. So far, they've been unable to come up with calculations. A few months ago I received numerous letters from Advantis acting on behalf of HMRC. I sent a letter of complaint to HMRC saying I've never received anything to back their claim, sent a copy to Advantis, who put the account on hold for 28 days. So far, no reply from HMRC and haven't heard any more from Advantis, even though the 28 days were up on Xmas Day. :santa_smiley:
