Re: council tax baliffs wrong house
I think you may be nearer to what could happen than you think, BB. Now that Keir Starmer is no longer DPP, he is free to do what he does best.
Before his appointment as DPP, Keir Starmer was - and still is - a very gifted and talented human rights lawyer. He is a product of the grammar school system, not the public school system.
Common Purpose looked on Keir Starmer as a "Useful Idiot", but I have a feeling he is going to prove anything but. I would never be surprised to see him be the nemesis not only of Common Purpose, but of the ConDem government also.
The legislation that is due to come into force in April fails the test of compatibility with the Articles and Protocols of the Human Rights Act 1998. And since it seeks to deprive citizens of the exercise of their rights under the Act, in particular, Article 1 of Protocol 1 (Protection of Possessions), I can see this backfiring on local authorities, bailiff companies and the likes of Liberata and Capita.
