  • parking fine newlyn baliffs

Hi I am new to this and hope you can help me
I was issued with a parking ticket with I stupidly did not pay then I got put on very strong painkillers while I waited to go in hospital for a hip replacement. Well I had a letter from newlyn saying I had to pay £397 as they had visited 3 times well I phoned them to try and sort it out and offered to pay £50 a month but even though I explained I only earn £445 a month and out of that I have to pay £186 a month rent plus other bills they said I could afford to pay £200 a month and would not listen to any thing I said. So I did nothing. Then on 20th July I had a text saying bailiffs would attend my home on that day if I did not pay the am out. I waited in and no one turned up. The on 3rd October I received another text again saying bailiffs where going to come to my home again I stayed in and no one arrived. Then today 15th Nov I have been phoned by the bailiffs saying I must pay this amount by Monday 12 noon. I feel I have been harassed by these people and I do not know what I should do
    Help please

First thing to do....go about your business and do not stay at home for a bailiff who might not turn up.

If a bailiff comes and you are home DO NOT LET THEM IN!!!!!

Write to Newlyn and ask for a breakdown of the fees and when they were incurred.

Did you receive a letter from Newlys saying that they were in possession of a Warrant of Execution and that you owed £XXX for parking ticket plus £13.44 for them sending you the letter?

If they sent the letter and visited whilst you were in hospital then get from the hospital a letter stating the days or period (from to) of you stay for the hip operation, then pay for the outstanding fine plus the letter fee, send the payment using a banker's draught or a Postal Order, by first class recorded delivery, and copy such letter and the enclosed correspondence to the Council that issued the ticket in the first place.

      Good luck
The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A mutation of the beast now comes black leather clad, riding a motorcycle that looks like a battenbergh cake on wheels.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.

It's a dirty job, but someone got to do it!

My opinions are free to anyone who wishes to make them theirs, but please be advised that my opinions might change without warning once more true facts are ascertained
