Had a visit from Marston recently, saw a guy at the door with a lanyard round his neck and thought can't be bothered with a canvasser. Went to the loo and upon returning noticed an unsealed envelope on the doormat.
it was addressed to me. A letter from Marston demanding £600+ for what it didn't specify but suggested I call a name and mobile number. Scratched my head for a while and wondered how this had popped up out of the blue
I live in a shared house and instantly know what mail is addressed to me by the envelopes and I'm generally expecting it.
As in most shared houses there's always a pile of mail to ex tenants, I looked through this for the first time in perhaps ever and there not far down was a previously unnoticed brown envelope addressed to me from Marston.
It was for an unpaid road tax fine.
Now here's where it gets interesting. Why after 2+ years did these letters turn up?
I've been abroad for a year of that and have been completely "under the radar" since my return (for no criminal reason i hasten to add)
The only thing that has happened differently and on record was a recent referral by my GP to see a specialist at a hospital. The first letter arrived 3 days after the appointment letter from the hospital.
Make of that what you will, I know what I've concluded and it's illegal.
Most people wouldn't notice this as they are perhaps "linked in" to society in many ways so to extrapolate one source would be difficult. In my case I KNOW this is the only possible source.
The who that gave away the info is unimportant to me, I know that they were paid and I understand that>
However Marston or an agent of Marston must have requested that information
