hi there i really need some advice,
I had a visit from a jbw bailiff on monday 3/12 ,in my absence, asking my wife to pay 572 pounds for an outstanding parking fine from newham council. I told the bailiff on the phone that I have had no letters about this and would not be paying until I knew what it was for.
When I returned home I found the parking fine he was chasing, in my file which was paid online on 10/09 with an activation code as proof of payment.
I phoned jbw to tell them and they said I needed Newham council to forward them proof that 202.50 had been paid .
I thought that would be the end of the matter but acccording to JBW i now owe them 370 pounds for two visits. The first on the 8/10 which I knew nothing about and the second this week.Do I relly have to pay them for chasing a debt that had already been paid. I asked Newham council this and they told me that the debt was passed onto JBW on 5/09 four days before I paid the fine in full.
My wife is scared to leave the house in case the car is clamped and I am worried if i don't pay more fees will be added.
    Please help

    Have a read of this:

    http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...rking-Offences

and send Letter One from here to the bailiffs:

    http://www.legalbeagles.http://www.l...Useful-Letters

In the meantime keep the car parked away from the house, and don't let the bailiffs in.

Any questions, please post back up!
