I received a warrant of execution letter dated 16th may 2011 from JBW for the sum of £204.44. I sent a cheque for £54.44 immediately with a letter instructing the collection of £150.00 by direct debit mandate from my account.
Thinking the money has been cleared, I received a dated letter of 26th asking for £360.00.
It has only just emerged from telephone conversation with JBW staff that they do not accept direct debit mandate. This was NEVER communicated to me but my initial cheque for £54.44 has cleared.
Efforts to get JBW to send me a breakdown of how they arrived at the increase in charge has proven impossible.
I have sent them a cheque of £150.00 on 30/6/11 which is what I am owing but they claim the charge has increased to £360.00 and I must pay up.
