  • bairstow & sutor back tomorrow to remove goods

long story short, i'm a tool and owe the council tax £1200, bairstow & sutor have just knocked on and told me i have till tomorrow to pay in full or the goods listed on the LAST visit will be taken..
i know very well how to handle normal baliffs, if they gain 'peaceful (unchallenged) entry', they are fine to take the goods, so refuse them entry until they pass the debt back to the original debtor who will again offer you a chance to pay instalments..
    BUT..
with bairstow & sutor working for the council tax, do they have any more authority/powers???

Have a read of this Bailiff Guide - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum

How have they listed goods on the previous visit? Did they gain peaceful entry and do they have a valid WPO or Levy? Have you spoken to the cuuncl about the arrears and made any proposals to pay it?

No, I don't. I think you should read the Bailiff Guide in the link I posted. Have you actually made any efforts to sort this out by instalments, either with the bailiffs or the council? Are you in a position financially to pay the arrears within a reasonable timescale?
