  • Help Please

Hello, please help, i have had Marstons call and left 2 letters, now they are threatening to come round with locksmiths to gain entry.
Its a court warrant to seize my goods.
The debt is from Nat West, for there overdraft.
I am totally to blame but have offered payments to the baliff and hes refused and wants it all 3,000.
I am unemplyed and dont have it, also its a rented property, furnished the things in it belong to the landlord or the other tennant, can they still take them.
i am not at home at the moment as my father has just passed away and im trying to sort out his funeral back at home.
    Please help x

    Re: Help Please

    Hi and welcome

I'm sure someone will be along with the right advice on this for you soon.

Even though you have offered so much to the bayliffs, may I ask if you had tried writing to the company your behind with - with a copy of your expenditure (incomings and outgoings) and to confirm your unemployed?
And of course maybe by offering monthly token payments until an affordable arrangement can be made in the near future.

There are also free debt organisations that can also help, such as Payplan, CCCS, and the National debtline.
I would personally advise if you have not done so yet also contacting one of these reputable free companies for help as well, who will act on your behalf.

    http://www.payplan.com/

    http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/

    http://www.cccs.co.uk/

If you try to deal with this as soon as possible, they may try to make negotiations with the business, and to also avoid further calls from bayliffs.

Meanwhile, someone should be here soon with further advice, good luck.

      Re: Help Please

Surely if Natwest are made aware of not only your financial sitation under hardship and that you are also dealing with your fathers funeral, maybe you could come up with a payment plan, also you must inform Nat West that you are in rented and do not own anything in that dwelling. You should call them tomorrow and try and work something out with them.

By the way do you own a vehicle?

Marstons can be awkward squads to deal with.

Surely as well as Tuttsi says they should understand and make some allowances at this difficult time x
