  • magistrates/county courts.

I had terrible problems with Marstons over not telling dvla of owner of a car I had the logbook for. After he forced his way into my house we managed to sort it out.
Now I have another different bailiff company for a parking fine which is from the traffic enforcement centre at Northampton county court.
This one is from a county court and the bailiff with it does not have the same power to force his way in,does he?.
I was under the impression that county court warrants were all the same and bailiffs must be invited in,find an open door or a window. Am I wrong in thinking this please. John
I am not trying to avoid paying this, but I need time, I am 74 and disabled, plus I am registered deaf with Essex County Council and the RNID so I can not use a telephone.

John, have you read our bailiff guide yet? If not, you should Bailiff Issues - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum as this explains a lot of your questions.

But no, you're not wrong, they cannot break in.

Were you aware of this fine before being contacted by the bailiff?
