  • JBW and a challenged speeding ticket

    Good Afternoon...
I have a dilemma..... JBW are attempting to collect a debt for a parking ticket incurred last July. At that time i Was director of my old companies and as such my name and address were the registered keeper for the vehicle.

It relates to a council parking fine which i challenged, be the signs which detailed the restriction were covered by a blossom tree so i did not see it.

I challenged this with the local council and did not hear anything form them. At the end of July the company ceased tradfing as we incurred a massive bad debt and were not able to continue....

So a year has passed, JBW now want access to my property and to take possesion of my car which I need for work.

Am I still liable for this charge, which i cannot afford to pay, as my salary is £1000 per month, and i dont believe I am liable for.

The company was dissolved on the 1.10.2010 and i am not at a loss as where to go next. My car is a £500 r reg, so not a massive asset, and i need it to get to my new place of work..

Any help or advice gratefully received...

I am confused. The title of this thread says 'speeding ticket' but above you refer to a parking fine.

    Which is correct?
