  • Bailiff and debit card charges

    Hi

I am in an arrangement with Jacobs Bailiffs to pay off council tax. I am really annoyed that everytime I pay I have to pay them £2 charges for paying by my debit card.
I have emailed them several times asking for their bank account details so that I can pay via internet banking directly into their account, but they have never responded.
I am due to pay my next installment today and have emailed them again today asking for the details.
I know I have to pay today but do you think I can withold my payment until they service me with an answer.

Or you could pay by cheque, no charge for doing that. Rather than email them, write to them recorded delivery and request their bank details so that you can pay by monthly standing order.
