Hello,
Please bear with me - first time poster. Over a week ago I started to receive text messages from Philips asking my husband to call them about an outstanding fine. Finally got through to them and were told that it was for not having a valid car tax disc on November 5th 2009 - but we did (we had one issed from end of May to end of November).
Having never heard about this before - we now get 2 text messages every evening from them threatening us with fines and that a bailiff will be coming to our property. They told my husband to send them a copy of the tax disc in question which he has and that would put a stop to all of this. However, tonight we got an email from them saying that they can only stop action if authorised by HMCS South West.
I am at home with 2 young children and keep thinking someone is going to come and knock on the door about this. What do we do? Who do we contact to put a stop to this?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Indy
