Newlyn Bailiff refuses to remove clamp after fine paid
Hi there
My car got clamped this morning, I logged onto the website and paid the bill, called the Newlyn offices to arrange removal, they said call the bailiff. Called the bailiff and finally got through to him after 3 hours. said he wasn't going to remove the clamp for another 4 hours (totalling 7.5 hours). Called the office to complain, they said if he doesn't come before 6pm, call them back. He came like the little snake he is fiddled with the lock and left. When I called back to ask why he hasn't removed it he said he can't take it off and accused me of tampering with it (I did not). He also said that has no intention of coming back to remove it. I can do what I want. I called Newlyn head office they were less than helpful. saying that they can't do anything until tomorrow and that they need to speak to their enforcement team. This could take god knows how long.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to handle or experienced this?
