  • Lowell - Notice of Issue of Warrant of Control

    Hi.

About a year ago I agreed to pay off a debt with Lowell Portfolio for about £3,500 as it had gone to the stage where the court was involved. I agreed to pay a small monthly sum, but due to being made homeless (now back in accomadation in a shared house), I failed to keep up payments so now received a Notice of Issue of Warrant of Control.

They've given me until the 23rd July to pay the full amount.

£3,500 is too much to pay (I'm on zero hours contracts/and on Universal Credit), as on reasonably low income.

How can I stop the warrant, and also request to make affordable payments to the courts?

    Thank you.

You need to complete form N245 to suspend the warrant of control and vary your original instalment order to a new order of an affordable monthly payment amount. The form will cost you £50 to submit unless you are eligible for fee remission in which case you need to complete form EX160 as well.
