hello. Tthank you for the warm welcome
would someone kindly help.......
discovered the car missing the other day! thought it had been stolen and notified police and insurance company accordingly. the car was parked on the street diplaying a blue disabled badge.
a few days later received a mobile phone call from someone calling himself a baliff acting on behalf of Bank of Scotland.
he confirmed he removed the car from the street and said he didnt need to ''drop in a card''
he says BOS want all the money up front - even though some of the payment includes 30 months of future interest which will not arise since he/they are demanding full payment after 18 months for a sum calculated to be paid over 48 months.
he is refusing to confirm his name the firm and their address and the location to which he has taken the car.
kind regards,

- Are the baliffs acting within the law - are any of their actions in contravention of of the consumer credit act/baliffs code? (do they have a code of ethics or conduct?)
- Are the Bank of Scotland entitled to demand 30 months interest which would not arise if payment is made after 18 months (on an agreement originally calculated to be paid over 48 months)?
- is it legal to remove a disabled persons car from the road without their consent?
kind regards,
