  • DVLA revokes Group 2 licence

    Hi there,

I am a qualified emergency response driving instructor who has had their Group 2 licence revoked due to now having monocular vision after surgery this year to remove an eye and a cancerous tumour. I am taking DVLA to court to try and overturn this decision. I have been searching for a case study in law where an emergency response ambulance driver has overturned the decision already, but not getting anywhere. Is anyone able to give me some advice on how to search for these case studies, or know of anyone who has overturned these decisions theirself? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of your medical condition - I also regret to inform you that If you have a complete loss of vision in one eye you are barred, by law, from holding a licence to drive group 2 vehicles.
