I was selling my iPad and searched on Google for the best deal, a company, not sure if I am allowed to name them? in Manchester offered the best deal, they provided the courier, UPS, 48 hours later had an email from company telling me the iPad had failed there quality inspection and they reduced the offer by over 50% , accept or refuse, I refused the offer and followed the link provided in the email,where I was asked to pay £20, which I have paid btw, to get my iPad back. The company have not sent it back nor have they paid me, so far, after looking on the web, Trustpilot, it seems this is thecompany’s modus operandi . I have contacted Action Fraud, GMP and Trading Standards, but all three are only able to take limited action and none can get my iPad or money owed.
I want to take county court action and ultimately High Court, Sheriffs, action, how do I start the procedure? Do I need to send a letter telling them I intend to take action? Is there a letter template I can follow.
Really I just need some basic help, this company seem to be prolific in completing this fraud.
