  • Ccj while a non UK. Resident

    Hi.

I don't live in the UK and have had a Ccj raised against me for 5k from a dca for a Barclaycard.

I have not been home to collect my mail for 2 years and as if lost my job I couldn't afford payments to Barclaycard

All the DCA letters came in one hit including the ccj as mentioned above I have not picked my mail. Up

Can the DCA withdraw the claim of I can have an agreement with them? Or do. I have grounds for this to be set aside if it is worth it? The debt is well. Under 6 years old and I'm surprised they are issuing a ccj so quickly

Not sure what happens if I'm a non resident so it's all a bit confusing

You are non resident in UK? then as you state you defaulted (for whatever reason)., do you intend to return to UK in near future? if not then that is it. If you are and are staying in UK another matter. But as you from your own words could not afford repayments then they were entitled to raise and apply for a CCJ in your absence. not returning then get on with your life.!
