  • Unsure what to do next - Judgment for Claimant in Money Claim

    Hello.

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season.

I have a 'Judgment for Claimant' order in my favo, from an online money claim, as a result of the defendant failing to adhere to the appropriate timeframes that were set in place for their responses to my claim.

The defendant has since filed a request for a 'notice of hearing of apication', in an attempt to set the judgment aside. The date for the hearing is on 27th Jan 2023.

Is it possible for me to settle directly with the defendant for the judgment amount in my favor, to bypass having to appear in court for the hearing..or should I/do I need to attend the hearing to receive the awarded mount?

Thank you in advance for all responses.

    Best Regards,

    Jay.
