Re: My boss has told me I won't be paid as I don't have a bank account
Your employer is allowed to pay you in cash, providing that they take off the right amount of income tax and National Insurance contributions under Pay as You Earn and hand these over to HM Revenue & Customs before paying you the balance.
However this may not be the method that your employer wants to continually adopt in having to pay you and although they can they do not have to pay in you in cash.
I suggest you either contact your bank explain the situation and ask them to open a new bank account for you or alternatively open an account with a new banking provider. If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.
I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

Re: My boss has told me I won't be paid as I don't have a bank account
Maybe if you will struggle to get another bank account you could look into a pre-paid card that can accept payments from employers. Unsure how long they take to set up, the initial account is generally quick but not sure whether they will take wage payments at the start. I have used cashplus gold since bankruptcy and it has been a life saver and there are many others available

Try looking at credit unions https://www.findyourcreditunion.co.uk/ I'm in cambridgeshire so mine is eslcu. I know they do a very good prepaid card and other banking services including a christmas club and loans.
