A child I cared for was adopted. The social worker responsible for the child did not do her job properly and the child was abused. I reported the social worker to the relevant authorities. The social worker then wrote a report to my employers a stating I was following a nurse around and the nurse had made a formal complaint against me to social servcies. This caused enormous problems within my 30 year marriage and I am now divorced. The senior nurse concerned has since written a sworn statement to say that she had never made any complaint against me and is considering taking legal action against the social worker. However, on the back of the social workers report I was struck off as a foster carer and I want to know how to get myself re-instated. Secondly, are the actions of the social worker consistent with misfeasance in public office?
