Some years ago the neighbours plonked a secondhand static caravan in front of their house which is now occupied by a nuisance family. Complaints to the Planning Dept; to get the thing moved out of sight have revealed that they did not seek planning permission and that it breaches the forward building line and yet these infractions have been overlooked.
I really find the local authority's conclusion on this matter incredible ( see below ). By the officer's own admission they have not sought planning permission for the siting of this static caravan not to mention it's breaching the forward building line, invades our privacy and is an eyesore. I had misgivings when she spelled accolade incorrectly. Any advice please?
I refer to your complaint concerning the above.
This matter has now been investigated and it has been established that no
breach of planning control has taken place. Evidence provided demonstrates
that the above buildings have been in place for a time period exceeding 4 years.
As such, there is no further action open to the planning department and the
unauthorised development has become lawful through the passage of time.
Should you require any further information, please contact the officer named above.
