  • Letter from Courts Historic Debt Team for Driving Offence 7 Years Ago

    Hello again!
Ive had a letter from the above lot claiming i have an unpaid traffic offence from 2010. I called them and theyve emailed me a pdf file of the judgement, and i remember it well.
I had been pulled over by a motorbike policeman whilst sitting at traffic lights as i had my phone in my hand with both hands on the wheel. I wasnt using the phone, but was holding it and he wrote me a fixed penalty ticket.
A few days later I noticed that he had written down my vehicle reg. number incorrectly (he got 2 of the letters wrong) so i called DVLA and they confirmed that no the reg. number that the policeman had written down does not exist. When the time came i wrote to the court, pleaded not guilty and gave my reason as the fact that I couldnt have been driving a vehicle that does not exist.

I heard nothing since, until the letter from the debt team.

Theyve kindly put any action on hold and advised me to appeal to have the judgment overtured. How do i do this? Do i just write to the court, or do io need to fill in a court for, if so, which one?

Thanks in advance (again!... this is becoming a bit of a habit ) for your help.
