  • Working with adults who have a learning disability help needed

    Hi.

As a van driver for a local charity I have a phisycally and mentally demanding role that requires focused concentration.

Ideally I should have a driver's mate to share the load however my employer continues to provide me with adults with learning difficulties or disabilities. This leads to my lack of concentration and frustration having to accommodate their needs.

I haven't been trained to be a support worker so do I have to accept this situation?

It's starting to impact on my own health.

    Kind regards.
