Lowell Solicitors Second notice of CCJ Arrears

Hello ,

Please be gentle it's my first time on here

Basically I've had 2 letters in 2 days off Lowell Solicitors stating a Second Notice of County Court Judgment for arrears of £592.06

this is the very first contact I've had from these people at this address and I didn't know I had a CCJ

checking my credit score I discovered I've got a CCJ from 29/3/16 for a Vanquis credit card

i racked up the debt on the card at my old address , had marriage problems , moved out of the family home in October 14 , got my current address in April 2015 and now have these letters appearing

Can anyone give me advice on how to proceed with this ?

set a side application but get peeps on here to know the full story , main thing is no Court forms received N244 application would then be relevant,

Yes the court forms went to my old address and I had no knowledge of any of this until 2 days ago . Does the set aside mean I can get the CCJ removed ?

How do I proceed with Lowells , I acknowledge I have the debt and want to settle it

if you apply for set aside £255.00 unless you are on certain benifits (fee remmission) in your case lowells sent all info to an old address and you now receive at your new address i..e. the two letters you state?????,, if court agrees you go back to stage one and the case starts again, a lot of home work for you i...e. info needed on here = when vanquis took out? default date/ date of last payment etc etc etc

read other lowells vanquis threads and see that all is not lost at this stage but move quite quickly, The CCJ has been issued and a set aside initially would remove it then during negotiations if peeps on here feel you may loose then you could come to some agreement with lowells at say a discount if possible to pay and the matter amicably, but whilst a CCJ in place it stays for 6 years except scotland 5 years , but main thing at this stage is to acertain the CCA1974 for enforceable?

Hi i,m not going to have time to do that as I,m quite busy at the moment , can I just pay it and take the CCJ on the chin ?

up to you, the CCJ stays on file for the period stated and lowells will rub their hands as another one caught, pay full it still adverse on your credit report and will state satisfied, or if discounted partial satisfied await other replys

Ok , yes I,m going to be out of the country soon for a while and want a fast resolution to this .

Will I have any wiggle room against Lowells i.e. discount ?

new CCJ doubt they will discount it, removed then yes they no doubt would as a different situation, one case does not cover all! see what other say it is the weekend and many will be on here to view and assis and as you can see I have put an alert out to others.
