Together/Blemain finance must be one of the worst companies out there. Last year I took a unconditional secured loan and they send me part of it as cheques to creditors which left me with no room for final settlement negotiations.
I voided and returned the cheques twice and asked for the money as a transfer which they refused. They caused me massive distress.
In the end Joanna Connolly Solicitors sent them a letter and I got the funds.
I then tried to get the interest they charged me back. This ended up with me filling for the small claims court. Their solicitor then contacted me and it was settled outside of court.
This week I re-mortgaged and they added a £1450 Pending solicitors fee on the redemption statement. (I am free from these dirty bastards!)
That account was never in arrears or there was any other reason for them to have used solicitors, so it look like they charged me for their legals fees to defend their wrong doing against my claim.
Now they are sitting on £1450 of my money, its causing me distress and its delaying other commitments.(buying another property)
I spoke to them on the phone twice and still they haven't paid. So I am now compiling another letter before action.
As they didnt stick to the agreement and they committed blatant fraud by adding illegal charges where does that leave me?
I am claiming the £1450 and £500/day due to delays caused can I claim the redemption fee of +-£1800 as they don't stick to agreements?
I am also going to complain to the Financial ombudsman.
