please help..
on 25/2/17 i bought a used car from a small car dealer and it was two week before i drove it as i had to get it taxed & insured plus sorn my old car. after driving the new car for about two weeks the oil warning light came on so i topped it up with almost 1ltr of oil and the warning light went off.
about one week later the same warning light came on so i put another 1ltr in and the warning light went off again but then i noticed white smoke coming out of the rear, i called the dealer and he told me that it was just access oil burning off and would be OK. over one week later the smoke was still coming from the back so i asked the dealer to sort out the problem. the dealer told me to take it to a Peugeot dealer to get a diagnostic done on it witch i did and thats when i found out how many faults there were with the car, cut a long story short the dealer i took it to said that the car would probably need a new engine. i told the dealer i got the car from and he said that he would give me three options, 1 he would collect the car and take it to a garage he uses witch i agreed to. 2 he would go half to take the engine out and repair the fault, 3 would return the car and let me sort out any repairs at no cost to himself. he took the car and almost two weeks later he informed me that over 7.2ltrs of oil was taken from the car witch only holds 4.2ltrs and he would would have no more dealings with me and blames me for the engine troubles witch is a lie as the peugeot dealer i took it to told me that it only had half the amount of oil in it that should be in it.. 2.1ltrs approx.
so here i am i sent him a final letter asking for a full refund or i will take court action but the only thing is i dont know if i can win this and i cant afford the costs of going to court, is there anything i can do or anyone i can turn to for help, every way iv try,d will cost me an arm and a leg and i know the dealer knows this...
