Hello all,
I'll give you the gist of the situation.
I cannot fully proceed with a PPI complaint (about my late Father's business and the various loans he had) until I have a DSAR detailing his finances. But it's getting this DSAR that is proving to be the problem here...
I initially complained to (name of bank), they basically said there was no history of mis-sold PPI.
I contacted them for a DSAR, which they said they couldn't do.
I contacted the Ombudsman to obtain a DSAR on my behalf, they were informed the same thing.
I contacted the Financial Conduct Authority and the Information Commissioners Office and they both told me that basically I can't get a DSAR for a deceased relative.
So, it all seems to say that a DSAR cannot be obtained for a deceased relative? Is this true?
What about if I went through a lawyer, would things be different if I went down a legal route rather than a legislative one?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
