Re: personal injury claim in France

    Hi Afterimage,
Was the campsite a booked holiday and what caused the injury? Did you take photos at the time?
If it was a booked holiday through an agent, you may be able to claim from the holiday company provided the injury was caused through the negligence of the camp site.
It may be worth you seeking some legal advice from a law firm specialising in personal injury claims and specifically holiday claims. This isn't something your insurers should be dealing with other than for medical cost refund etc.
The law firm will be able to advice on whether you are likely to be successful in your claim and provided they think you are 50% more likely than not to win they will normally act under a no win no fee agreement (Conditional Fee Agreement).
Until you know if this is a claim that can be pursued, do keep any receipts for painkillers, physio etc together with your wage slips proving the losses you have suffered.
You have 3 years from the date of the accident in which to bring a claim.
Have a look on LBCompare our sister site, that lists all law firms and you can search for solicitors through there who deal with holiday claims.
I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.

Any posts I make on LegalBeagles are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as legal advice. Any practical advice I give is without liability. I do not represent people on the forum.

If in doubt you should always seek professional face to face legal advice.

        Hi again,
I don't know the French laws for personal injury claims. It may still be worth speaking to a law firm who have a specialist 'holiday' claim section. At least they can indicate whether it is worth pursuing the French Camp site? Generally you will get a free initial appointment to discuss the claim so shouldn't cost you anything to find out.
