Hi - I had a management agreement in place for 5 years which states the company had to maintain the property (I also have emails where they state 'don't worry it's all in hand').
when I took back the property 5 years later, it was in a terrible state with a very overgrown garden. No maintenance to the property had been carried out over the 5 years, so obviously there was a need for redecoration and replacement of curtains and carpets.
I am claiming £4k to cover the work to put the property and garden back to how it was when they took over management. however they are denying all liability.
I thought this would come under the Goods and Services act, where they have failed in their duty to provide a service.
is this right?
