Hi, I got my daughter a new mobile phone (iphone se) from bt for christmass early may it stopped charging. I rangg BT who sent it off for inspection, they sent it back saying it was the charging port and it was classed as physical damage so the warranty didn't cover it. I also took it to an apple shore who said it was due to the pins in the dock port being bent down accidental damage again not covered by warrenty. The phone is only 5 months old and im at a loss on my next steps and advice would be much apreciated.

Re: Faulty Mobile BT refusing to help
It sounds like BT and Apple are claiming that your daughter has misused the charging port and so it was not the fault of the port itself but rather consumer error. Accidental damage is not usually covered unless you have insurance to cover it.
Are you suggesting that the phone isn't charging because the phone is now faulty or that the charging port is faulty? Have you tried charging the phone by other means?
Since the phone has been used for some time it suggests that there was no issue with charging until now and that consumer error is likely to be the problem. You could of course complain to BT as they supplied you with the phone but if they don't budge I guess your other option would be a threat to court, though it might be difficult to overcome their argument if you have no proof.
Have you made inquiries as to the cost of repairing? What about buying another device which allows for wireless charging (not sure if iPhones can do that but worth a check?) which might be cheaper than having the phone repaired. If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need.
