  • New member to say hello.

Just joined, found you via some serious web browsing!

I'm no expert in this, so really looking for your guidance to help battle my way through the list of DCA's that have me on their radar!
Have to say that I have used some serious common sense approach with some of them and have successfully curve balled one or two of them for the time being, I suspect they'll dust themselves down and come again.

However I'm keen to learn so, please do expect many a question from me.

first one being, is there a simple step by step process to all this that I can read up on and follow, I appreciate that each and every case is unique to itself, but guess there must be a common appproach to deal with it?

    thanks in advance.

    Hi & welcome to LB.

    Unfortunately there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution.

The key to challenging the (often spurious, and often inflated) claims re alleged debts from these clowns is information/evidence.
Get as much as you can from whatever sources are available (particularly historic bank details, data held by the original creditor, any correspondence you might have stashed away in drawers/loft/garage etc.)
Correspond with them, in writing only, when & if necessary; keep a copy & always get proof of postage.
