I bought a car on finance 10 months ago. The car is an Audi A6 Allroad and is a 2012 car. The car came with a warranty and it has developed a water leak from a plastic composite part used as a water seal in the engine. The engine has to come apart and the front of the care disassembled to get to all components. The car then has to be put back together again to be fully tested.
The fault is with the composite plastic used as a water seal, it warps over time as it can't cope with the heat of the engine. Audi has no official repair time so so currently no repair company can quote a fixed time, as there is no fixed time the warranty company can not approve any repair as they need a fixed repair time. So I am going round in a loop and there is only 2 months left on the warranty.
I have been told that I can give the car back tot he finance company as it is not fit for purpose. Does anyone know if this is true.
