  • O2 Credit File Error

Hi, I have a problem with my credit file that's been caused by O2. I had an alert that there was negative activity on my credit file and when I checked on Noddle there was a red dot stating 5 months in arrears for Feb 2017. Until then, including Jan 2017, my file has green 'ok' dots and says account payments up to date.
The balance history on the file says nil for all months until Feb 2017 when it says £92, my monthly contract is £36 so this can't be 5 months. I did have a missed payment in January because i had upgraded and they didn't carry over my direct debit, so I spoke with them, set up a new DD and they said they would take the Jan balance with the Feb bill. It got paid and the account has been fine since.

Its put a dent in my credit file and Ive spoken with O2 and they've been totally clueless. Could anyone give me advice on what I can do to sort this out please?

thank in advance for any help.

Put in a complaint in writing to them - it's useless trying to resolve credit record errors over the phone with customer services
