  • Child with ECHP rights to holidays?

My son is waiting for an EHCP assessment and my employer has stated from next year we can only have 2 weeks annual leave within the school holidays. I feel my son would suffer because of this and part of his condition is poor muscle tone and muscle weakness and we spend the holidays camping doing outdoor activities like walking, climbing, kayaking and cycling which he benefits from greatly.

If he is granted an EHCP would I have any rights to ask for more of my annual leave during school holidays?

This change seems to have come out of nowhere as I have usually been granted at least 5 of my 6 1/2 weeks in school holidays in the past.

I feel that this is an unacceptable work life balance not just for me but for my colleagues as well.

    Kind Regards.
