Ok, so we have had our policy for 20years with the Halifax, we signed up with a bit of a useless bunch of solicitors to see if we could reclaim our £8k.
We applied and got rejected, we applied again and got rejected, then it went to the ombudsman and still got rejected.
We have stated to the Halifax that this policy was taken out over 20 years ago so the details are a bit sketchy, we believed we were miss sold, because both of us had good stable jobs and excellent sick cover through our jobs.
The fact we have not claimed in 20 years would support this.
Also, we weren't aware of the policy even being a sickness policy until recently and I have been in a position to claim many times in the last 20 years but didn't.
The ombudsman has stated, the policy was not explained clearly at the time and that they have no paperwork to withhold there argument, so how in gods name was it rejected?
I really want to go to court but that would probably cost me the 8k if not more!
Any help or advice out there?
