  • bankruptcy marker on credit report

    Hi,
I am new here and need some advise.
My wife has been discharged from her voluntary payment plan (protected trust deed in Scotland).
On checking her credit report we noticed a few defaults and 1 x bankruptcy marker as it was a protected plan this should not have happened and we have been advised that we should write to the creditors with a copy of the discharge notice and ask for the markers to be removed .
My question is this - how do i word the letter ? do i be forceful, humble or just be blunt and ask the question ?
At the end of the day as already stated this was a protected plan and no markers should have been placed on the file . we have been given a full list with reference numbers of the creditors Is the law on my side can i insist that the markers be removed and if they refuse where do we turn to ?

Thanks in advance for any help that any of you can offer.
