Hi,After a gruelling year waiting for court date to try and defend aLowell claim,I am back again with another question if you can help.
I had another debt with Lowells,A studio debt. For some reason Lowells passed this debt on to Cabot,Why would they do this? Apparently they passed it on to them before my court case concerning littlewoods direct. I have had a Christmas phonecall from Cabot this morning.

Good morning Vale,

When debt purchasers have " acquired" debts that they think they may a trouble with it's common process to flog them for a few quid to get them off their books.

It would be wise to insist that Carboot contacts you only by post, and don't answer their " security" questions.

Does the debt show on your credit reference files? You can check Noddle and Clear Score free online?

Thankyou Nem,No I haven't checked,But I will try on Clear score to try to find out.I wont give any details over the phone,And I did ask them to just write to me,But I was met with an answer of "We will ring back another time".Awful people.

I have checked my credit report on Clear score,I can see Lowell on the page under defaults,But it says also two others,But I cant find any details.It also states I have not got any court orders,But I have bec ause I pay Lowells £1 a month on a court order?

Hello Vale,

It might be worth checking Noddle as well, Lowell has in the past been sloppy with CRA entries.
