Excel fine while collecting parents from museum

Hi

Excel has sent me a fine of £60 while I waited in the car for 17 minutes to collect my parents from the Imperial War Museum North. I have appealed on this basis but they have rejected it. What's the chances of them giving up on this one? Or do I just swallow it and pay up?

Excel are a company who are presently giving many tickets a spin via court. I doubt they'd have the man power to do them all but how lucky do you feel ?

I would contact the museum management and see if they'll intervene.

The accredited trade association Excel belongs to provide a secondary appeals service (Theias.org) but it's difficult to win even with a genuinely good appeal reason never mind where you admit to waiting to pick someone up. To try this would also mean they'd want £100 instead of £60.

Eek thanks for the quick response. Not feeling that lucky! I've contacted the museum but they suggested I talk nicely to Excel so I haven't bothered and just paid up.
