  • ME III Ltd / Mortimer Clarke / Claim Form

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum today and am reaching out for a little help and guidance. I've received a claim from Northampton County Court Business Centre. Claimant is ME III Ltd with correspondence from Mortimer Clarke Solicitors. Addresses for ME III and MC are the same in Worthing.

"By an agreement between MBNA & the Defendant on or around 22/09/2006 ('the agreement') MBNA agreed to issue the Defendant with a credit card. The defendant failed to make the minimum payment due & the agreement was terminated. The agreement was assigned to the claimant. The claimant therefore claims 6146.66".

On top of this there is a court fee of £410 and Legal Representative Cost's of £100.

I had the credit card and made the last payment somewhere around 5 years ago so it know it isn't statute barred. In all the time that has passed since the last payment, I haven't acknowledged anything. I've had letters from Dlc, Hillesden, ME III and MC. I have access to Experian and Equifax and the credit card record from MBNA doesn't sit on either file. I can't be sure of any dates and it would appear to me that MC aren't either; coupled with the record not existing on my credit files, what is the best way forward for me.

    Thanks,
