I had an alert on my credit file which to my horror showed I'd been issued with a CCJ by the PRA Group to my old address. I'm not disputing the debt and had been paying it off for the last six years to CCS collect, whom I had an arrangement with till the debt was cleared. It now turns out that they were collecting the money for PRA and PRA decided to stop using them to collect my payment from April 2016 onwards.
18 months ago I moved home and at the time I was undergoing medical investigations which resulted in a major operation and considerable recovery time and I failed to let CCS collect I had moved. PRA sent paper work to my old address which obviously got chucked in the bin and I now have a CCJ. What are my chances of getting it set aside as I had been religiously pay it.?
