Can anyone help me..
i have been taken to court by Cabot for a debt I had forgotten about as it was 2010 and I have moved house twice and never received any paper work. Bailiff turned up at my house having traced me. They told me to contact court for copies of paperwork and were quite fair with me.
Although the judgement has already been lodged I went to Cabot and asked them for the paper work, using letters from this site and paying the £1 for their copying, they did not provide any when they took me to court as far as I know..In August they sent me a letter saying they did not have paperwork and the judgement was unenforceable if I did not hear from them within 14 days.. September came and went and I did not hear anything. I thought it was the last I would hear as the 14 days were well past. Then in mid October they produce paperwork and tell me they are going to enforce the debt.. Simple question where do I stand?
