  • VT on car HP

    hello,
i emailed a letter to Motonovo finance requesting a VT of my agreement on the 28th September. All payments (over 50%) were up to date as of 27th September. Did, not get an acknowledgement.
Made several calls to confirm receipt, they acknowledged receipt and informed me it was being dealt with. Several calls later still no official response. On November 1st I phoned for update, was asked to resend original email, which I did. Finally received a letter on 13 th November agreeing to VT. This is 7 weeks after my initial letter, since which another payment has become due (27th October)
my question is does the VT take place from the date of my original request which I know they received, or from the date of their official acknowledgement? Apparently my first email got lost because they were very busy!

Ended when you gave them notice if it was before close of business on the day or at the latest the following day.

If you have not cancelled your DD already I suggest you do so now

        Hi There,

Im also going through the same situation,

I have had emails from the Finance company stating they'll send my details onto another department to arrange the voluntary termination, but they're refusing to send me confirmation my VT has been implemented, closed and no further liability is with myself as per the VT Letter sent.

they keep either ignoring me or dismissing it stating this cannot be the sent until the vehicle has gone through the auction house, which to me is just delaying the process.

Also theyre attempting to charge me £72 for collection.

This is now holding up the purchase of my next vehicle.

        Any advice would be appreciated.
